SAN DIEGO — A 29-year-old man was gunned down in a Rolando business early Sunday morning, San Diego police said.
Someone called 911 when gunshots rang out near El Cajon Boulevard and 70th Street about 4 a.m., homicide Lt. Mike Hastings said. Officers found the victim lying near the back door of the business with at least one gunshot wound to his upper torso. The man died before he could be taken to a hospital.
Caution tape surrounded 3 Kings Hookah Lounge later that morning.
Investigators determined a man about 5 feet, 11 inches tall wearing a dark colored sweatshirt and dark pants walked up to the front door of the business and shot at the victim. The injured man ran toward the back of the business and collapsed.
No suspects were arrested.
The victim’s name was not released.
