PhoenixBusinessJournal.com readers are already familiar with our popular Business Pulse feature, a weekly online survey that lets you sound off on business news and issues.

But today, Business Pulse gets much bigger and far better.

Call it Business Pulse 2.0.

We’re now running several Pulse items simultaneously on this site, and adding several new ones a week as the news dictates.

The goal is to better connect with you, our readers, and discover what’s most important to you. That can help guide our coverage to serve you best.

“Our revamped Business Pulse is another way for our readers to engage with our news content and share your views with us and each other. It’s designed to include timely polls, interactive quizzes and informational surveys on relevant news topics,” said PBJ Editor-in-Chief Ilana Lowery. “Our hope is that readers also will chime in and give us ideas about what you’d like to see us ask.”

In addition to our usual single-question, multiple-choice polls, we’re debuting two new Business Pulse formats:

  • We now have quizzes with questions on news and current-events topics; you find out how you scored when you’re done. I promise our quizzes are a lot more fun than the ones you remember from school.

  • And our new surveys feature several questions — some multiple-choice, some fill-in-the-blank.

Some of our Business Pulse offerings will be on national topics, provided by our parent company, The Business Journals.

As before, our Business Pulse polls, quizzes and surveys are not scientific. But they do give an indication of what you and other readers are thinking.

And as before, you can leave a comment at the bottom of any Business Pulse item to amplify your views and respond to comments by others. Some of the best of those comments will appear in the Phoenix Business Journal weekly print edition.

Take a look here, and enjoy Business Pulse 2.0.
