Morningstar Investment Management has promoted Diane Earnshaw to head of UK consulting and brought in Edward Fane as a senior investment consultant and portfolio manager.
The appointments come as Morningstar looks to bolster its consulting team following the hire of Dan Kemp as co-head of investment consulting and portfolio management for Morningstar Investment Management EMEA.
The investment consulting team provides investment advice and portfolio solutions to advisers and other clients.
Ms Earnshaw had joined Morningstar in 2010 when the firm bought Old Broad Street Research (OBSR).
At Morningstar, she had led the firm’s UK coverage of multi-asset funds, as well as being a member of the Morningstar Portfolio Review Committee.
Mr Fane has joined from discretionary manager Thesis Asset Management, where he co-managed the firm’s Optima fund of funds range and managed its model portfolio service.
Morningstar said Mr Fane would be responsible for providing “best practice investment consulting and portfolio management services to advisers and institutional investors”.
