For more than a year now, Paul Consulting Group, a local custom-programming firm, and CHSP staff members from the three funding partners have been working working to create a user-friendly web-based CHSP Portal system.
This Portal includes a unified communications system for CHSP staff to communicate with agencies and volunteers, and reporting capabilities that provide data to each funder with a unified reporting system.
Paul Consulting group was on board to design, service, and host the Portal for a year, however in a recent meeting Paul announced their intention to manage the site for a three-year period, instead of just one. The three-year contract would have cost $18,000 under normal circumstances.
“Paul Consulting has been a tremendous partner to work with in creating a new CHSP Portal. Their partnership has far exceeded the “contract relationship” one normally has with a vendor throughout this process.
And this donation is yet another shining example of how they have continued to bring not only value, but also care and investment to our community,” stated Heather Mitchell, President & CEO, of United Way of the Big Bend.
CHSP is an allocation process that is administered through a three-way partnership with United Way of the Big Bend, the City of Tallahassee, and Leon County Government and is the only partnership of its kind in the country.
In Over its 18 year history, this partnership has invested over $80 million into our community, providing critical services, including food, shelter, counseling, access to healthcare, and youth opportunities to thousands in need throughout the county.
This process is managed by the CHSP Leadership Team, which is comprised of one voting member from each funder, (UWBB, City of Tallahassee and Leon County Government) and the Executive Director of United Partners for Human Services (a non-voting member).
United Way of the Big Bend serves eight counties. In our 72-year history, we have invested over $135 million to help those in need, and worked to find solutions for issues facing our community. Our work addresses basic needs, helps families become financially stable and provides opportunities for children and youth to succeed.
