Supply chain and operations specialist LCP Consulting has boosted its partner team with Richard Walters, who joins from Stonesthrow Food, an e-commerce business he setup and ran over the past two years. Walters has been tasked with further expanding LCP Consulting’s growing Manufacturing practice.

Founded in 1985 by Alan Braithwaite, currently the firms’ Executive Chairman, LCP Consulting has since grown to become one of UK’s leading business advisories specialised in supply chain management, logistics and operations. The Berkhamsted headquartered firm has roughly 40 advisors on its payroll, and serves clients across a range of industries, including Retail, Manufacturing, FMCG, Healthcare, Transport, Public Sector and Energy.

LCP Consulting recently bolstered its Partner team with Richard Walters, who becomes the firm’s eighth partner. After completing an MBA at Leeds University, Walters joined Bidwells Agribusiness, specialising in strategic supply chain projects for the UK’s retail and foodservice sectors. More recently, he established Stonesthrow Food, an e-commerce based home delivery business delivering fresh and local food.

At LCP, a member of the MCA, Walters will work with the manufacturing team to deliver services for FMCG and foodservice clients such as manufacturing platform optimisation, operations improvement, and implementation of global planning solutions (S&OP/CRM). “Richard’s appointment illustrates the continued expansion of our dedicated practice, which now advises many of the world’s leading manufacturers,” says John Lockton, Managing Director of the business advisory.

Lockton adds: “His extensive foodservice and retail experience will complement our end-to-end supply chain offer. His in-depth knowledge of e-commerce customer experiences and how they link to supply management systems and processes, will be an invaluable asset for our clients.”

Besides Braithwaite, Lockton and Walters, LCP’s partner team also consists of Stuart Higgins, Emile Naus, Phil Streatfield, Michel van de Veegaete and Will Shepherd, who joined from Capgemini in November last year.
